Gusto Banja Dush

Opening on September 15th on Teatralny Lane, 'Gusto Banja Dush' cannot be called a club in the traditional sense of the word. The old 'Gusto' became famous in the mid-90s for its strict door policy, traffic jams on Tolmachevsky Lane from cutting-edge vehicles, the best sushi in Moscow, and the trendiest Western guest artists. But that is all in the past. Spanning two floors of the former bathhouse opposite the 'Metropol' and Tretyakov Passage, the maximum number of original interior details have been preserved. The white tile of the main hall and the legacy inscriptions on the walls coexist with glass blocks and a trashy lightbox featuring images of naked women. Nevertheless, the slogan 'You don't have to steam!' still holds true. Like the legendary Parisian counterpart Ban Dush, steaming is not recommended here. The reincarnated 'Gusto...' behind the scenes has been dubbed a new type of cultural center, as the once prevalent Moscow glamour has been set aside. 'Gusto Banja Dush' will be open daily and will feature a program typical of Cultural Centers, including a wide range of contemporary cultural events: from cult movie showings on Mondays to Wednesday lectures by Professor Zinziver (in real life, Professor of Philosophy K.E. Solovyov), Saturday nights with Freak Boutique parties featuring live sets by interesting representatives of contemporary pop culture (Adam Sky, Johny Slut, Fil OK...), and Sunday theatrical enterprises. Opening of 'Gusto Banja Dush': You don't have to steam! September 15, 11:00 PM, featuring DJ Mark Moore (UK) and Alexey Haas
