Eccentric Frivolous plays minimal for single men

As part of the project "Minimal for single men" Shanti will visitFrivolous. Canadian Daniel Gardner is a very unusual artist. School teachers would explain his strange behavior as an inability to study: Daniel always received very mediocre grades. But at some point a completely new subject appeared at school: electronic composition. Daniel's marks immediately skyrocketed; At the same time, it became clear that the previous numerous classical piano lessons would also be useful. In 1996, 16-year-old Frivolous, captivated by the Detroit sound, received his first weekly residency at an after-party venue in Vancouver. After another two years of chaotically dabbling in electronics and design, Daniel finally put together and sent out a demo tape. Of the five German labels that received the recording, three sent back offers of collaboration. "I told Andy (Andy Vaz) that the work was not finished yet, and the same day I heard from him, the first records from the Crankkongestion EP (Background Records) arrived. From then on, everything went like a chain."
Today, having undergone a long musical evolution, Frivolous creates cutting-edge music, combining ironic minimal electronics with soul vocals. He is also known for his eccentric performances, where classical instruments and vocals merge with experimental glitch and electronic funk.
