Electric Indigo - a woman who exudes electricity

Her color is indigo, her element is electricity, her name is synonymous with the phrase 'techno party'. A female DJ from Austria, Electric Indigo travels to clubs, raves, and electronic festivals in 33 countries. On March 25, 2005, the electric girl will come to the 'Gorod' club. Her music career started in 1989 in Vienna, where she began playing jazz and funk records in local clubs. But soon her musical preferences significantly shifted towards the 'Chicago sound' and 'Detroit sound', and Electric Indigo became a techno DJ. In 2002, Electric Indigo played on the main stage of the prestigious Electronic Music Fest in Detroit. In 2003, she founded her own record label indigo:inc, and in 2004, together with friends (Mia Zabelka and Dorit Chrysler), she created the 'Colophony Circuit' project. Despite the playful name, the project was a success. The trio was invited to play at the viennese hall Radio Kulturhaus and to record for the radio show of the most prestigious Austrian radio station dedicated to culture. As for her solo work, the Austrian artist has already released two full-length albums. 'To call Electric Indigo the main lady of the Austrian electronic scene would be an insult. She has reached a level where gender is an outdated concept,' writes Sven Gehder, chief editor of Profil magazine.
