Producers of electronic music have taken on classical music. In mid-October, techno and dub masters Carl Craig and Moritz von Oswald released remixes of three musical works, performed in 1987 by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Herbert von Karajan: "Boléro" and "Spanish Rhapsody" by Maurice Ravel, as well as "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky, on the renowned German jazz label Deutsche Grammophon. The release is titled Recomposed Vol.3→.
Before the release, Craig and von Oswald gave a live performance with a classical orchestra in Berlin. In turn, a remix for Recomposed Vol.3→ was prepared by none other than renowned electronic musician Ricardo Villalobos (Uli, mein Ponyhof).
Another unique experiment, designated as a historic event, was the joint performance of Carl Craig and the symphony orchestra at Paris's Cite de la Musique. Here for your attention is a recording of the performance→.
