Eric Prydz is coming to Russia

The official representative of the Renaissance label in Russia, Underground Sound Of Moscow (USOM), is pleased to announce the start of the official series of events by the British label Renaissance - Masters of Renaissance - in Saint Petersburg. The headliner of the opening of the 'Petersburg series' of the large-scale Russian-British project will be the resident of the Renaissance label, Eric Prydz. One of the most demanded DJs in the world will perform in Russia for the first time at the Manege of the Cadet Corps (Saint Petersburg) on February 15. The next day, on February 16, Prydz will be awaited in Moscow - at the Gazgallery club.

The contract for the exclusive representation of the Renaissance label in Russia and the organization of 10 major Masters of Renaissance events was signed with the Russian label Underground Sound of Moscow back in mid-October 2007. Initially, according to the contract, USOM was entrusted to act as the official organizer of parties with all the Renaissance headliners (including Sasha, Eric Prydz, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, John Digweed, Satoshie Tomiie, Shlomie Aber, Paolo Mojo, and Nic Fancuilli).

The first Masters of Renaissance party that opened the series of official Renaissance label events in Russia took place in Moscow on December 15, 2007. The headliner was DJ Steve Lawler. One of the pillars of the contemporary dance scene presented to the Russian audience the album VIVA: The London, released in October 2007 on Renaissance Recordings. The packed house at Gazgallery and numerous positive reviews that followed the event led to the decision in January 2008 by Renaissance and USOM to expand the geography of the Masters of Renaissance party series and hold them in Saint Petersburg.

The permanent location of the Renaissance label in the northern capital will be the Manege of the Cadet Corps. The status, format, design, and capacity (over 2000 people) of this venue were highly appreciated by representatives of the British label, and it was recognized as the most suitable place for organizing a large-scale performance in terms of both design and technical approach (note: Masters of Renaissance parties are known for their own original design. Organizers bring decorations for the show with them).

Thus, the party with Eric Prydz as the headliner will be the second event in the series of Masters of Renaissance in Moscow and the first in Saint Petersburg. It is worth noting again that this resident of the cult British label, despite numerous invitations from domestic promoters, has never played in Russia before. In Saint Petersburg, as well as in Moscow, besides the headliner, the line-up of all Masters of Renaissance parties includes DJ sets by Abelle & Beekeeper and Serge Que. The technical partner of the event is Track System (the company that organizes the international dance festival DJ Parade).

The party following Masters of Renaissance with Eric Prydz will take place in March 2008. The specific date of the event and its headliner will be announced shortly.
