The club eTerritorye presents unique sets of ethnic music from Nazim Nadirov.
For over ten years, Nazim Nadirov has been actively promoting ethnic music both in Russia and around the world. During this time, he has assembled an excellent collection of music. With the advice and support of friends, he decided to add another skill to his many talents (producer, promoter, radio host, journalist), and become a club DJ. He will now periodically play his collection at the eEthnotechee party on Thursdays at the eTerritorye club (Moscow, Tverskaya 5/6, 2924544) from 21:00 to 24:00. The upcoming sets will be on August 14, September 11, and 18.
Nazim Nadirov was born in 1961 in the Chimkent region of Kazakhstan to exiled parents (from Kurdistan and Karachay-Cherkessia). In 1978, he graduated from high school with honors and entered the Department of Philology at Moscow State University. Specialization: Slavic studies, Indo-European studies, Iranian studies. Graduated from MSU in 1983 with a red diploma. Defended his thesis in 1987 in the field of comparative studies and Kurdish studies. Worked at the Institute of Linguistics of the USSR Academy of Sciences as a freelance translator for the State Concert of the USSR.
Founded the concert agency "Europe" and was its director until 1992. Managed tours for various groups and performers: "Yarinistan" (Germany), Ruth McCartney (USA-England) in the USSR; participated in organizing the first international TV festivals: "Step to Parnassus" (Moscow), "Voice of Asia" (Almaty), "Silk Road" (Shymkent).
Since 1992, he has been an independent producer, manager, journalist, and publisher. Managed groups like "Ashgabat" (Turkmenistan), Yulduz Usmanova (Uzbekistan), Oleg Fezov (Tajikistan), "Kazyna" (Kazakhstan), and others.
Hosted a program on world music on Radio Vox - "Sunday Sofa". In 1995-1996, founded the "Manas" gallery and "Manas Records" label in Kassel (since 1997 - in Moscow). Featured sections on world music in the magazines "Melody"/Moscow, "Central Asia"/Stockholm.
Since September 1996, he has been the author of the program "Arba Semu Muz" on Radio Nadezhda (FM 104.2). Since December 1998 - on radio "Govorит Moscow" and ORR (Public Russian Radio). Since April 1999 - a member of the jury for the World Music Charts Europe (www.wmce.de).
Organized tours in Moscow for: Urna Chahar Tugchi (Mongolia), "Tara Fuki" (Czech Republic), Saadet Turköz (Switzerland), "Triakel" (Sweden), "Ayris" (Estonia), Ida Kelarova (Czech Republic), "Ashgabat" (Turkmenistan), Sevara Nazarkhan (Uzbekistan) and others.
