Fabric 41 from Luciano

The head of the Cadenza label, Luciano, blended minimal, tribal, and house music on the new Fabric album. The 41st release in this series will be out in July 2008. Luciano, who vehemently opposed recording any CD mixes, gave in to Fabric's persuasions and compiled a disc of his favorite artists. 'The most difficult thing for me is recording a CD mix,' said the DJ. 'So the decision to release Fabric 41 was so difficult! I believe a mix can only exist at the moment when I play it. A mix is the interaction of the dance floor and the DJ, it's the dancers who choose which track I'll play next, and that is what creates the unique atmosphere of the mix. However, when faced with the task of creating a tracklist beforehand, and only then presenting it to people, I feel lost and constrained.' During the recording process of the Fabric mix, I tried to understand if I liked what I had recorded. I tried to make the sound more natural. Not too minimal, but not too flashy, I tried to combine the opposite poles of music. I added many different instruments and effects, primarily making a dance mix,' shared the DJ. 'Fabric 41' is the second commercial mix by Luciano, following the work entitled Sci.Fi.Hi.Fi. Vol. 2. 'Fabric 41' by Luciano traditionally starts with minimal compositions, transitions into tribal music for dance floors, and finishes with hard techno by Chymera.
