Animation Film Festival AnimаХ

From September 17 to 18, 2007, the next Animation Film Festival "AnimaX" will take place at the club "Shanti." Most of the animated films presented at "AnimaX" are prizewinners of various Russian and international festivals. For instance, the film "Daughter-Dumb" by Yekaterinburg animator Zoya Kireeva won the prize for Best Debut in Annecy, France, and the XV festival of Russian cinema "Window to Europe" awarded it the "Silver Sail" for "Great Little Cinema," while the children's animation studio "Poisk" won first place at the amateur film festival "Petersburg Screen" in 2004.

The festival will feature the following programs: "Dumb Girls!" (about funny, touching, silly, but the best girls in the world) and "Oh, These Storytellers." The program is dedicated to the memory of Alexander Mikhailovich Tatarsky. It presents fairy tales from the perspectives of children and adults: from the children's animation studio "Poisk" (Novosibirsk) and fresh films from the "Mountain of Gems" cycle by the "Pilot" studio.

Attention (!) - premiering a new film by famous animator Ivan Maximov "Rain from Top to Bottom" (2007).

There will be an awarding of a unique clay stop-motion from the "Mountain of Gems" cycle to the youngest participant of the last festival - Vanya Kolotukhin, aged 3.
