Citadel Festival Continues in Moscow Clubs

Alexandroid - Alexander Matrosov (Alex) and Andrey Antonets (Android) hail from Riga; they released their first vinyl back in 1995 in Austria on Syntactic Records. This preceded records like "Gods Delusion," "Synoptic," "Soundtracks," and finally a joint release with Lazyfish that was released not so long ago in Germany. In 2003, the group won an international competition for the best electronic musician held by Radio France Internationale, after which they went on tour throughout France and Russia. In August 2004, the project performed in Monaco as part of the cultural event Days of St. Petersburg. At concerts, the musicians demonstrate the possibilities of anti-lounge electronics, using elements of noise, techno, industrial, minimalism, and psychedelics. The group is a regular resident at trendy Moscow clubs and prestigious Russian and international electronic music festivals. Alexandroid records soundtracks for videos made by Riga's and Moscow's artists and does remixes.
