C/O Pop Festival 2009. Cologne Welcomes.

C/O Pop is perhaps the "festival" in the most direct sense of the word. It features exhibitions, lectures, fairs, workshops, and, of course, numerous parties in the most unexpected places. Cologne, the official venue for the festival, turns into a huge musical platform. Music comes from every bar, restaurant, and club; people stroll, dance, relax, and meet... A complete idyll.

Despite the fact that at the beginning C/O Pop promoted only German electronica, each year the lineup becomes more and more international. The year 2009 will feature performances by: Adam Beyer, Ellen Allien, Gui Boratto, GusGus, Ricardo Villalobos, Superpitcher, Tobias Thomas, Trentemøller, and more than 200 other musicians, whose names you can find on the official event website→

In 2009, C/O Pop will once again present participants with the Europareise platform. Created in 2007, Europareise is an international space for acquaintance, communication, and knowledge transfer between famous festivals from around the world. Here, participants meet colleagues, friends, and experts in the music business. New projects are born here, and interesting opportunities open up in the global media market.

P.S. The opening ceremony on August 12, by the way, will be held under the music of Moderat - a group that literally exploded the dance floor at the Migz festival in 2009.
