Festival of Experimental Electronic Music 'Edges of Good'
Музыкальные российские · 11.02.2006
Good and evil - two opposite concepts that are essentially two sides of the same entity. Complementing each other, creating conflicts, these two concepts shape the landscape on which a huge holiday called 'Life' takes place. The fountain of emotions generated by this collision is expressed in semi-improvised musical works that will be performed at our festival. The forms of good are unpredictable, just like its edges. They are born with every breath, with every minute lived by a musician on stage. In modern reality, good is always an experiment. By refracting reality through the prism of musical experiments, we can see the various edges of good more vividly. We invite you to participate. We present to you four collectives, four out of many edges of Good: February 17 (Friday) Livelectro, Ambidextrous (IDM) Livelectro (IDM, Electronica / Experimental) - Viktor Gatcki, Sergey Losev Livelectro - live sound, live video, live idea. Their music is alive like a soul, pulsating like a heart, tearing down towers like first love, irritating, calming, aggressive and romantic like the edges of universal good, like the cosmic depths of the human soul that live and will live forever. Gather courage and give your soul to electronic music. Prove that electronics can carry good, revealing its edges. Each performance by Livelectro is individual and unique. It is accompanied by a video sequence that resembles conceptual Video-art. Using five video cameras and a projector, the intimate process of creating and extracting sound is open. And all of this, of course, live and in real time. Ambidextrous (IDM) - Nik Zavriev 'Ambidextrous' electronic musician with a rich history returns to the origins. To those tracks where the aesthetics of experimental electronic sound are in the forefront. On this evening, they will perform the newest IDM program that has never been played before. Powerful pulses of Good are expected at the festival in an unfamiliar shell. February 18 (Saturday) Konzy Sveta, Cisfinitum (experimental electronics) Konzy Sveta (Experimental/Electronica) - Tikhon Kubov Konzy Sveta is a constantly evolving enclave of relatively independent musicians, founded in 2005 by Tikhon Kubov (Won James Won, Jazzlobster). The collective specializes in improvisational performances in a genre that can be loosely classified as instrumental experimental music. For the festival 'Edges of Good,' the group is preparing a special program, violating the canons of IDM and expanding the boundaries of reason by means of a paranoid-critical analysis of rhythmic and melodic structures. Undoubtedly, an electric shiver will run through the fragile souls of the listeners, and the Lights of the Holy Apple will ignite in the depths of their pupils. Cisfinitum (Dark Ambient) - E. Voronovsky, ASH The Moscow project Cisfinitum has existed since the late 90s. The leader and ideological inspirer of the project, Yevgeny Voronovsky, defines Cisfinitum's music as '..exploration of various extremes of consciousness, allowing modern man to find centralization and self-identification. The methods of influence in the case of Cisfinitum can range from traditional sources and academic schools of interpretation to the wild frenzy of contemporary post-industrial chaos. To embody in sound the Cosmos and Chaos of the mysterious Russian nature - that is the main subtext of Cisfinitum's music. February 17-18, Cultural Center DOM
