MIGZ 2009 Festival in Moscow

From June 26th to 27th, an international festival of contemporary music and media art, MIGZ, will take place in Moscow. MIGZ Festival is a new type of cultural event that combines entertainment and knowledge, providing participants with a flexible platform for creativity and creation. Starting at the 35MM cinema in Moscow, Migz will continue at key venues in the capital: Solianka, Propaganda, DenisSimachevShop&Bar, Shanti, DubClub, and 16 Tons. Following a mash-up principle, the festival will unite various forms of media art: current music, design, photo, video, and contemporary art, appealing to both fans of domestic club culture and professionals. The lineup includes music headliners MIGZ project owners - Moon Unit and techno group Moderat, emerging from German projects Modeselektor and Apparat. During the day, MigzDay program will feature concerts, exhibitions, and interactive tours of media art. MigzClass will offer lectures, presentations, and masterclasses, while MigzSpace program will allow participants to apply their knowledge in workshops, exhibitions, and installations. The musical program of MIGZ will unfold on two stages: the spectacular concerts and video performances will take place at the gala stage of the Big Hall (CUBE), while the open-air street stage (AIR) located in the outdoor courtyard will become the arena for a real daytime open-air in the center of Moscow. MigzNight parties will be a grand event spanning the night in Moscow.
