Syntek #1 Contemporary Electronic Art Festival
Клубные российские · 04.07.2005
The main goal of the festival is to transport the viewer from everyday life to a unified atmosphere of contemporary electronic art, consisting of works by modern artists and musicians. By placing the viewer in a single space with the performer, filling this space with audio and visual content, a special environment will be created where the viewer will comfortably perceive the entire meaningful component of the works. By combining different forms of transmission, synchronizing the live work of the musician and video artist with pre-edited video, a new form of engaging the viewer will be created: a kind of enveloping pseudo-interactivity.
Participants:
Toyshop - a joint project of Moscow electronic musician Dima Yaponets (known for his work with Sur/faces and Earl Grey Smokers) and designer and artist Protey Temen. Organically combining original animated video art and live electronic music close to deep Techno and IDM, Toyshop achieved a fun result. A pleasant cocktail with effervescent gas. The authors jokingly call their creation "a cartoon with a tape recorder." It is worth noting that both the video art and music are performed only live.
Mujuice - the first signed artist of the V 135 Recordings label, a virtuoso electronic musician from Moscow, whose delicate, sensitive, and nervous music has been highly praised by listeners and critics. Mujuice is a microsurgeon of music. Intricate melodic themes intertwine with diverse noises and distorted rhythmic patterns, giving birth to grand musical panoramas. Mujuice is stylistically diverse, from ambient and symphonic music to minimal techno and breakbeat. In September 2004, the debut album "SuperQueer" by Roma Litvinov (Mujuice) was released on V135 Recordings.
Guttersnipe (aka Cast) - talented and rapidly progressing, these are the only characteristics that can be given to Denis Kaznacheev, a young musician and DJ. In a short period of time, Denis has performed on the same dance floor as Lawrence (Sten), Sasha Ring aka APPARAT, and M-Ziq, which speaks for itself. In May 2005, V135 Recordings and Peace Technologies jointly released the album "Are Teek L," which became Denis's debut. A forthcoming release of the joint project Cast and DJ Chiz - "Small & Tall," has already become a new word in Russian sound production before its release.
DJ B-Voice (Midiots)
Vasiliy B-Voice started DJing in 1996. The pseudonym appeared accidentally during one of the night broadcasts on the radio "Station" as a guest of Kubikov. B-Voice stands for a person's voice starting with the letter B. His first sets took place at the clubs "Treasure Island" and "Third Way." This was followed by regular performances at various clubs, as well as participation in the festivals Kazantip, Raveolution, Big Rynda, TusArt. In 2001, Vasiliy and Dima Filgood started remixing the Russian show business under the pseudonym Da Pop and made remixes of songs by the groups "Bi-2," "Propaganda," "Oscar," and "Seti." In 2002, the project "Midiots" (the same B-Voice and Feelgood) appeared. Midiots collaborate with the German music software producer "Native Instruments." After releasing two records, the project is working on creating an album.

Projecting space video installation & live VJing:
Antishanti - a great master of video effects, loves to create a sense of paranoia in her sets. Fast, chopped images, like a maniac with a razor-sharp blade - not to kill, but to inflict as many scars as possible. The accompanying soundtrack is usually fitting. Katya is called the queen of granulated VHS plastic. Neighbors suspect her of running an underground porn studio. She does not like anything living, but loves the lifeless and rusty, leaving a clear imprint on her work. She has video sets for numerous parties: Ambidextrous+Roboti (cosmonautics day electro party), representing Russia at the Deep Russia festival in Riga (deep techno party), Kazantip festival - providing a month of hallucinations (techno, trance, drum-n-bass), SCSI-9 concert, Mendelyaev concert, and much more.
