February gift from Belgium
Музыкальные зарубежные · 19.01.2006
Daft Punk, Moby and Jeff Mills consider these Belgians to be their forerunners. The electronic trio Telex (Dan Laxman, Michael Merce and Marc Moulin) recorded five albums over 10 years with such interesting titles as “Neurovision” and “Sex”. In 1989, after the release of the Looney Tunes album, which critics compared to the works of Art Of Noise and Yello, the trio decided to disband... only to return in February 2006 with the album How Do You Dance?
Much water has passed under the bridge since then and some things have changed. For example, Marc Moulin became a famous jazz pianist. But the desire to surprise and healthy musical adventurism last summer forced the three members of the group to get together in the studio and record an album that you will soon hear. As can be seen from the track list, it included both new own compositions and standards rewritten anew (for example, “# 1 Song In Heaven” by great friends of Telex duet Sparks).
