Mylo to Headline Fortdance 2005 - the Rising Star of Global Electronic Music

FortDance, recognized as the best and largest Russian dance music festival (Night Life Awards 2003, 2004), will take place this year on July 22, a Friday, at the historical Petrovsky Forts 'Emperor Alexander' and 'Emperor Constantine' near Kronstadt, on the shore and in the waters of the Gulf of Finland. FortDance 2005 will be held for the sixth time. Mylo, the hottest live electronic project of the year, has been confirmed as the artist capable of headlining this festival. This live performance by MYLO will be the artist's first appearance in Russia. The full concert program, tested at the largest European festivals this summer, will include tracks from the debut album 'Destroy Rock and Roll,' which has become the most popular and fastest-selling electronic album in Europe this year. Mixmag, the world's largest electronic music magazine, called MYLO the 'savior of dance music.' MYLO's live performance marks an important milestone in the festival's history, demonstrating the continued growth of the audience size and international recognition. The dedicated efforts of the festival promoters and its excellent international reputation are the reasons why Mylo chose FortDance for his debut performance in Russia. Sharing the stage at the 'Emperor Alexander' fort with Mylo will be the former frontman of the legendary group Shamen, Mr.C, currently a globally recognized techno and tech-house DJ and the owner of the influential London club The End. Also performing here will be Sandra Collins, a leading American trance DJ, a participant in Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto international team. The national electronic scene will be represented by the favorites of Russian dance floors - Grad, Spy.Der, Fish, and List. Radio DJ Judge Jules from the British corporation BBC Radio One will headline the main stage of the 'Emperor Constantine' fort. His signature sound and energetic trance music will be enjoyed by over 30,000 enthusiastic dance music fans. Jules has been a leading international DJ for over 15 years, with record sales exceeding 1 million copies, including the hit single 'Pitching (...In Every Direction)' released on Incentive. Jules also runs his own club night, Judgement Sundays, one of the most successful and popular parties in Ibiza's San Antonio. Fans of trance will be delighted by the appearance of Infected Mushroom on the 'Constantine' stage - mega DJs playing trance and only trance! This group is one of the brightest representatives of the Israeli Sound, where heavy guitar sounds are actively used. Their sound is hallucinogenic, interesting, and delightful. Marco V from the Netherlands, a favorite of European clubs and part of DJMag's top 20 DJs worldwide, is exceptionally talented, with his repertoire and ability to sense the audience allowing him to showcase at major events and clubs worldwide. Marco has gained recognition in the global dance scene with remixes of Energy 52's classic 'Café Del Mar,' as well as releases like 'Godd,' 'In Charge,' and 'Simulated.' Marco V will perform on the 'Emperor Constantine' stage, enhancing trance dominance as the sound of the Main Stages. Likely the busiest and most in-demand DJ in Russia at the moment, Ivan Roudik, will lead the Russian DJ team, joined by Katrin Vesna, Housekeeper, and the group 'Norma.' The B.I.P-zone (Bacardi Important Person) will also feature DJs such as: DVJ Dan Tait, who played at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, is part of the Pioneer test group alongside renowned DJs like Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela, Erick Morillo, and Jeff Mills, and is a resident at Space club in Ibiza, actively touring worldwide. Paul Jackson, one of the most sought-after DJs and producers in the UK, has been among the famous DJs for over 12 years, playing in over 50 countries worldwide. He has been a resident at Amnesia (Ibiza), The Cross (London), Ministry of Sound (London), Madrid and Valencia clubs, regularly featured in the top clubs in the UK, and for the most progressive TV and radio channels - including Subliminal, Defected, Radio 1, and even MTV. This year will see advancements in the technical and staging aspects of the festival. Massive investments have been made to develop a unique stage structure for the Main Arena, essentially recreating another fort on the shore. The visual part of the FortDance show will be enhanced by unique facade projections, creating a complete visual-musical space. Hanging projection and LED screens, as well as dozens of plasma panels synchronized with the musical program, will make the 2005 festival truly multimedia and innovative.
