Dutch photographer Krijn van Noordwijk has published a collection of portraits of around 140 DJs from different countries around the world under the common title "DJ". All studio works are done in a classical genre, yet one can't help but notice the modern expressions of the models' emotions. Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Armin van Buuren, Derrick May, Juan Atkins - just a few of them. To carry out this project, Van Noordwijk hunted down artists for almost two years. The photographer ceremoniously presented the first copy of the book at the opening of the music conference ADE in Amsterdam to Armin van Buuren - the #1 DJ in DJ Mag's 2008 rating. Commenting on the choice of the collection's name, Van Noordwijk said: "Less is more. I love simplicity."
