Freestylers in the City

The club "City" and the St. Petersburg promotion group "In Beat We Trust" continue a series of parties with invited stars of the world breaks scene. This time, one of the members of the breaks trio Freestylers, Matt Cantor, will perform on the large dance floor of the club. Freestylers are a very reputable and successful group in the breaks scene. They can be compared to titans such as The Crystal Method or Evil Nine. Freestylers is one of the few groups from the breaks community that managed to appear on the popular music TV show in England "Tops of the Pops". This is largely due to the impressive sales of their albums and singles, with tens of thousands of copies sold. While not veterans of the genre, they are practically titans in the nu school breaks branch. They started their musical activities separately, and Matt Cantor, who was inspired by the creative legacy of Afrika Bambaataa, Public Enemy, and the first musicians working in the jungle genre, initiated the Freestylers project. Joining forces with two close friends, they released their first record under the pseudonym Freestylers, which was well received by the B-boys, and their first album "We Rock Hard" sold 250,000 copies. Thanks to this successful start, they won an award from Muzik magazine, quickly entered the breaks scene and actively toured all over the world.
