Front 242 is Coming to Moscow!

On November 10, Front 242 will give a single concert in Russia at "Apelsin" as part of the European tour Live-2007. The Belgian band Front 242 is considered the founder of the EBM (Electronic Body Music) style, representing a synthesis of electronics, industrial, and synth-pop.
The band was formed in Belgium in the early 80s as a result of the merger of two duos – "Prothese," which included Daniel Bressanutti and Dirk Bergen, and "Under Viewer," consisting of Patrick Codenis and Jean-Luc De Meyer. Their first full-length album "Geography" was released in 1982. Soon after, Bergen left the band, and percussionist Richard Jonckheere joined the team. For the next few years, Front 242 actively recorded albums, performed at numerous festivals, and gradually gained widespread popularity first in Europe, and then in America.
In 1987, the band released one of their best albums "Official Version." During the European tour in support of this album, Front 242 performed alongside Depeche Mode. After the release of the next album "Front By Front," which brought even greater popularity to the band, Front 242 took a two-year break, which ended with the release of another hit album "Tyranny (For You)." Subsequently, the musicians released several diverse records in different lineups, and by the mid-90s focused solely on their side projects. In 1998, for the first time after a long silence, the band went on a world tour with the concert program "Re:Boot," after which the self-titled album was released. Only in 2002 did the musicians return to studio work. Their last album to date "Pulse" pleased fans and was created in the best EBM genre traditions.
Front 242 has already performed in Moscow. Their last visit was a real event for all fans of synth music, attended by about two thousand spectators. Their return to the capital promises to be no less bright and large-scale – buy your tickets in advance!
