The pioneer of trip-hop and the frontman of the British band Portishead, Geoff Barrow, has opened his own art gallery in his hometown of Bristol. The musician's new project, transitioning from a musician to a gallery owner, is called Friend And Co and is dedicated exclusively to "outsider art", specifically works by Barrow's fellow musicians that will be sold in strictly limited editions of up to 100 copies, but at the same time at reasonable prices - averaging 60 pounds sterling. For example, a drawing by the frontman of the garage band The Horrors, Faris Badwan, depicting a rat on his canvas. All exhibits can be previewed and purchased in advance on the gallery's website. Barrow claims that Friend And Co is the smallest gallery in the world, and that is its concept. At the same time, the musician rushed to reassure Portishead fans, hinting in a blog on MySpace that the band members are currently working on new musical material. Recall that in April 2008, Portishead, existing since 1991, released their third album "Third", which fans had been waiting for for 11 years.
