Shanti continues to delight its guests with visits from interesting and truly talented musicians. This time, the pleasant and well-known musician Funk D’Void will take over the decks. Lars Sandberg borrowed his alias from a song by the famous funk group Parliament ("I am Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk/I have always been devoid of funk"). Lars is a sought-after DJ, recognized by critics as a producer who has already released three full-length albums (not counting singles and remixes).
In 1999, Lars moved from Scotland to Barcelona, where he found not only inspiration but also a great climate, affordable housing, and a lively nightlife. In today's dance scene, Funk D'Void is a constant presence: wherever and whenever he performs, he always delivers powerful, emotional sets. Starting his DJ career in 1986, he has consistently shown the same talent and thirst for new music as he did at the very beginning.
His recent collaborations with artists such as Alexander Kowalski, Phil Kieran, and Ken Ishii have given his sets a more raw and uncompromising club sound. Lars always seeks new sounds and new inspiration, never losing the emotional tone of his music and performances.
