What is Gallery?
The authoritative magazine Mixmag recognized Gallery as the best club night in London in 2004 - the best in the club capital of the Planet!
Gallery parties take place at the London club Turnmills every weekend. Thanks to the support of a loyal fan army and the skillful management of committed people, Gallery stands out significantly among London clubs.
In April, Gallery celebrates its 10th anniversary. Over these years, every significant club musician and DJ from not only Britain but also America, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, and many other corners of the Earth has performed here.
Only at the 10th anniversary celebration of Gallery in London will a true star lineup perform: Armin Van Buuren, Benny Benassi, Chris Coco, Corvin Dalek, Daniele Davoli, Danny Rampling, Jimmy van M, Judge Jules, Kevin Saunderson, King Unique, Lottie, Mutiny, Nic Fancuilli, Nick Warren, Pete Gooding, Sister Bliss, Steve Lee, Tall Paul, The Show (live), Timo Maas, Tomcraft, Victor Calderone.
Gallery has never been afraid to expand its musical boundaries, and this, according to promoters, is the reason for its enduring success. Gallery holds leading positions in English musical culture, opening new styles and young talents.
Gallery's stylistic range: from underground house, electro, and techno to trance and breaks.
Gallery in Russia
In 2005, Gallery opened its Russian office and announced the start of active operations in Russia. To date, four dates for Gallery parties in Moscow have already been confirmed. The launch event of the Gallery project will take place on April 30, Saturday.
Why will Gallery be a unique event?
Gallery is a fully international project, managed by an international team of specialists. Advance event planning, thoughtful artist booking, a clearly formulated music policy, and a simple and understandable membership system at Gallery, with automatic access to all privileges of the London club for Russian clubbers, all set Gallery apart from other club projects in Russia.
As part of Gallery's activities in Russia, four parties are planned at Gallery @ Turnmills in London, featuring Russian DJs.
Where will the Gallery promotions take place?
The renewed "Gaudi Arena" will be the home for Gallery Russia. The expanded space of this unique venue, the finished decor, ultra-powerful sound, and incredible amounts of light, with a capacity of up to 4,000 visitors, makes this venue truly unique.
Who will open the first night of Gallery Club Russia in Moscow?
Tall Paul - resident and co-owner of Gallery, the person responsible for thousands of hosted parties and several million collective hangovers. Starting his career in 1987 at the age of 16, he was recognized as DJ of the year by MUZIK magazine in 1998. As a resident of Gallery, he regularly works with Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Sundissential, Cream, and Golden.
His remix discography includes great names such as New Order, Stone Roses, Erasure, Human League, Marc Almond, Wild Child, Hyperlogic, Cappella, Duran Duran, Blondie ... the list goes on indefinitely.
Tom Neville - Gallery Exclusive Russia Debut.
Tom began his musical career at age 17. After 10 years of hard studio work and a tough tour schedule, he is one of the busiest remixers and producers in Britain. His latest record "Just F**K" became a worldwide hit and was nominated for every possible award from America to Japan.
Tom is a certified sound engineer. He is one of the few contemporary producers with an academic education: Hertfordshire Music Technologies University.
Tom's latest single has elevated him to a whole new level. The track, featuring his own vocals, received instant support from BBC Radio 1 and quickly made it onto the playlists of Zane Lowe, Mary Ann Hobbs, Annie Nightingale, Seb Fontaine, and Pete Tong, who called the work a ‘future classic’. Even Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) gave this work an incredible high rating - 11 out of 10.
Alex Anderson (Gallery) - A music lover and encyclopedist, Alex Anderson is one of the biggest favorites of London’s Gallery. As a professional DJ, he has been working since 1993.
Over the past two years, Alex has become a cornerstone of the Turnmills team, aiding the club's operation as a co-promoter and programming the musical schedule not only for Gallery but also for the City Loud, MetroGroove, Release Yourself, and The Boutique parties. After his famous set in December 2003, about a thousand clubbers refused to leave the club at 7:30 AM.
Petersburg’s Anton Neumark, also known as Chegunechki Skorokhod, is one of the classics and greatest provocateurs of Russian electronic music. His return to major dance floors with his underground hit Aftaparty was a surprise not only for clubbers but also for radio program directors and excited middle managers. Anton's active studio work and his team’s efforts hold hope for the release of a new full-length album by Chegunechki Skorokhod this summer.
Bobina - Young and vibrant Moscow talents will perform at the Gallery party for the first time in Moscow this year. Their expansion into Western dance floors includes playlists of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Above and Beyond, Solarstone, and many others. With a contract in hand with Nebula and record labels Bonzai and Deep Blue, it’s surprising that Bobina or the young Moscovites Almazov and Vinogradov are still based in Moscow and not in some part of Britain.
Tomorrow People - a club concept by two Moscow DJs, Fish and SPY.Der. Within this project, the musical colleagues jointly present a complete sound design and musical content of the party or dance floor. At the Gallery party, they will host the second dance floor. That night, they invite Arkadiy Air, who will perform a very British proggy breaks set and prepare the ground for the authoritative DJ team.
