Gaudi Returns to the Elevator!

Exactly two years ago, in May 2006, the party Happy Birthday, Gaudi with Paul Oakenfold closed the first chapter of the Gaudi story - the club moved from the building of the former elevator to the premises of the karting center '10 inches'. On May 30, 2008, everything returns full circle. With the party Happy Birthday, Gaudi, the club announces its return to the famous magenta pipes. The history continues! The Gaudi club project emerged in 2001, at the peak of interest in mass dance events. The promoter group Gaudi became the first team in Moscow to respond to the public's aspirations, opening a club with the city's largest dance floor capable of accommodating up to three thousand people. To implement this project, a truly unique venue was involved - the building of an abandoned elevator ten minutes drive from the city's historic center. Soon, on this site, a two-level club space with a total area of 2500 square meters emerged almost from scratch. In record time, the club gained cult status. Grand names of the modern electronic scene performed here - from Timo Maas and Paul Oakenfold to Moby, who played his first DJ set at Gaudi. In the autumn of 2006, Gaudi Arena moved to a more spacious venue, turning into a unique transformer club with a total capacity of five thousand people. The updated Gaudi became the home for the Gatecrasher festival. Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Christopher Lawrence, Marco V, and many other renowned DJs performed here. The permanently operating Gaudi Bar also started working here - a traditional meeting place for people passionate about electronic music. Over seven years of operation, the club gained international fame. A year ago, the album Gatecresher: Live in Moscow was released in the UK, recorded during Christopher Lawrence's set at Gaudi Arena during the Gatecrasher festival. Gaudi became the first Russian club to officially open its branch in Europe - since spring 2008, Gaudi Bar has been operating in the center of Thessaloniki (Greece). In May 2008, a new chapter in the history of Gaudi begins. The club returns to its roots, to the building of the former elevator on Skladochnaya Street. The design and atmosphere of the venue remain unchanged - Gaudi Club still has two spacious dance floors and a comfortable VIP balcony. The club's sound system has also undergone a radical upgrade. Gaudi Club in the elevator will operate regularly - parties by both Gaudi Production and promoter groups friendly to the label will be held there. At the same time, no one has canceled the massive parties in karting. In the near future, Gaudi Arena plans to host tours by Paul Oakenfold (May 23) and the show 'Friday the 13th' featuring the great Carl Cox (June 13). Meanwhile, Gaudi Club is gathering its friends for its Birthday at the historical elevator building. On this night, the best Moscow DJs who played their best sets at Gaudi will be with us: the live project of Anton Kubikov and Maxim Milyutenko SCSI-9, Martin Landers' project Lator, DJ Grad, DJ Spirit, Slava Finist, Sergey Pimenov, and, as usual, a legendary foreign guest whose name will be a big surprise for Moscow clubbers. Happy Birthday, Gaudi!
