Giant Rave in the Desert

Underworld, Snoop Dogg, and Asian Dub Foundation have confirmed their participation in the Monegros festival, a giant Spanish rave in the desert. 40 techno, electro, and hip-hop musicians are announced, including Autechre, Sven Vath, Dave Clarke, DJ Rush, The Orb, Frequency 7: Sims & Surgeon, Oscar Mulero, Ken Ishii, Technasia, Alexander Kowalski, Model 500, Scan 7, Fixmer & McCarthy, Marco Bailey, Slam, Motor, Umek, Michel De Hey, Steve Rachmad, Marco Carola, DK7, The Black Dog, Silicone Soul, Dominik Eulberg, Valentino Kanzyani vs. Nastic, and Mala Rodriguez. Labels: Minus (Richie Hawtin, Gaiser, Troy Pierce), Gigolo (DJ Hell, David Carretta, The Presets), and Hi-Tek Soul (Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Jim Masters). This year, the festival will feature a hard techno/shranz dance floor for the first time. More than 40,000 people are expected to attend the Monegros festival in the Fraga desert in central Spain.
