Voting for the 'Best DJ' according to Dj Mag has Begun
Музыкальные зарубежные · 02.09.2006
You can have different opinions about the British magazine Dj Mag in general and its voting in particular. But it must be acknowledged that, despite the skeptical attitude of the "intellectuals" of dance music, the chart reflects the real balance of power on the DJ scene. Among numerous global charts, the DJ Mag Top 100 is the largest and most popular with the public. This is the chart that journalists around the world refer to when writing announcements for events featuring DJs from the Top 100. Indeed, the fees of these DJs change depending on their position in the list, no matter what the advocates of honesty say. Last year, in 2005, 124,000 people from 147 countries participated in the DJ Mag voting. That's no trivial matter. The DJs themselves understand this perfectly well - it's no accident that candidates have posted calls on their blogs and websites urging fans to vote for them, regardless of their fame or style - from Armin van Buuren to Magda. This year, the principle of determining the winner has changed slightly. In addition to the title of "Best DJ of 2006," winners will be announced in the following categories: Best House DJ, Best Techno DJ, Best Hard Dance DJ, Best Drum & Bass DJ, Best Breakbeat DJ, Best Electro DJ, Breakthrough of the Year, Rookie of the Year.
