IAMX to celebrate the Russian premiere of the film 'Zh'est'

Iamx is the author's project of the British musician Chris Corner, the man X, the Christ of music, and the frontman of the highly successful project Sneaker Pimps. He is a vocalist and ideologist, the author of lyrics and music. Demonic vocals, piercing keyboard trills, and sensual candor evoke an era of romantic-tragic songwriting in electro-pop, chic-decadent-electro, and trip-hop-sincerity of the 80s. His concert is a vibrant one-man show that engages the audience, making them experience every note and guitar string sound. Cosmic depth of feeling. 'I am X,' I am X,' - Chris Corner reminds of himself with every appearance on stage. He is a series of riddles, stage puzzles that do not have one correct answer. The public was last surprised literally a month ago when he agreed to participate in recording the soundtrack for the main film event of 2006, the film 'Zh'est' (dir. D. Neimand), the world premiere of which took place at the International Berlin Film Festival on February 14. The music for the film was recorded by Corner together with composer Igor Vdovin. His poignant debut album 'Kiss + Swallow', released on the independent label Recall in 2004, drew followers of Placebo, Depeche Mode, and The Rapture into the faith of Iamx. The nervous tension of Jim Morrison, the sincere enthusiasm of Elvis Presley, the passion, sorrow, and suffering for all humankind - this is the emotional palette of the album. When the world obsessed over guitar music, Corner, on the contrary, gives it a secondary role, emphasizing his vocal mastery, polished song form, and candid vocal performance. In 2004, Iamx performed in St. Petersburg at the NokiaLab festival, last year at a closed event at the Orjonikidze Factory, and this year he is embarking on a world tour in Europe - Austria, Belgium, France, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Spain, and of course Russia! Iamx is coming to Moscow to celebrate the Russian premiere of the film 'Zh'est.' Corner will perform at a closed cinema event, and the next day - on March 24 - an exclusive open concert will be held on the stage of Club 'Sixteen Tons'.
