Aydalyuli Retro Fair
Российские светские · 06.04.2009
On April 12, 2009, the next, fourth, charitable fair 'Aydalyuli' will take place. The ideological inspirer and leader of the fair is Alexander Petlyura, one of the most famous representatives of alternative culture, an artist, a collector, a creator of performances and installations in Russia and abroad. Alexander defines his artistic direction as a new symbolism that combines the artist's fantasy with the energy of the previous owner of the item and the circumstances under which it appeared in the collection. Alexander has been assembling his collection for 30 years. Today it is a unique private collection of rarities from the Soviet and post-Soviet periods: costumes, dresses, lingerie, shoes, headwear, accessories, household items. They are used for theatrical performances, performances, video and photo installations. The fair also features items from other designers who share 'aydalyulistic' views on fashion and reality: Olga Soldatova, Andrey Bartenev, Konstantin Dudoladov (Dudo), Violetta Litvinova, young designers Galina Solodovnikova (Aloefashion), Inna Sevastyanova (MIM), the Clamoten crafters, Olga Chernikova's workshop, the most interesting collectors and enthusiasts from the Flea Market, and others. Guests of the fair will not only be able to participate in the sale of collectible, designer clothing, and interior items but also listen to Yuri Gagarin's performances and songs about space, as well as try infusions and pies from the 'Russian Buffet', cookies from Mademoiselle Cecil, and handmade chocolate candies. Traditionally, a portion of the funds raised during the event will be donated to the charitable organization 'Samu Sosyal' assisting street children - www.samu.ru.
