iHoof – sound system for basketball courts

The sports equipment manufacturer Spalding has developed a portable basketball hoop iHoop, into which you can now shoot the ball without missing any music. It is connected to a special base that consists of two speakers and a subwoofer.

An iPod can be placed in a separate, damage-resistant pocket located between the speakers. Control over volume, playback, and other basic functions is performed via buttons located outside the base.

Through an additional cable, other types of players can be connected to the system besides the iPod, however, in this case, control will be transferred to the player itself.

The developers of the device claim that the iHoop is made from special materials resistant to water and sunlight. The price and release date of the hoop have not yet been announced.
