The Spanish nightclub Barraca is coming to Moscow on November 14. The tour of the cult establishment, which has a history of over 40 years, will take place as part of a unique cultural exchange between the Moscow club ARMA17 and Valencia's Barraca. Notably, the Spaniards themselves initiated the signing of the friendship and cooperation agreement and have already suggested that ARMA17 residents make a reciprocal visit in the near future.
Representing one of the strongest underground venues in Spain will be two of its residents – Danny Fiddo and Alberto Sola. Both DJs are leading figures in the Spanish dance scene. Fiddo has performed in the most famous European clubs: from Space in Madrid to Rex in Paris and Tresor in Berlin. A resident of Barraca for 11 years, he has shared the stage with the world's leading techno DJs, including Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vath, Carl Craig, and Luciano. As for Alberto Sola, who has been a resident at Barraca for four years, he also has a lot to boast about to techno fans: regular performances in Emporio (Seville), Cassette, Radio Code, Danzoo, Goa and Mimética (Madrid), Industrial Copera (Granada), Fever (Bilbao) or collaborations with notable musicians like Mike Shannon, Pascal FEOS, and Martin Landsky. Currently, one of Valencia's main electronic artists is immersed in creating his new work - Perfumes. The record, created with producer Active Sense, is expected to be released on the Mona Records of Salamanca label within the coming weeks.
Located in Valencia, within the Natural de la Albufera national park, Barraca is renowned as one of Spain's most progressive night establishments thanks to a powerful acoustic system and a unique atmosphere at the venue. Positive feedback about the club has been provided by everyone who has had the chance to perform within its walls. Furthermore, Barraca is officially recognized – according to a ranking compiled by the authoritative music magazine DJ Mag, it ranks among the top 50 best clubs in the world.
