Ivan Roudyk - From Russia With Sound Vol.1

The producer of the album 'From Russia With Sound Vol.1' is Ivan Roudyk - the host of the author's program Electrica on 'NRG' radio (104.2 FM). Almost every day, he receives works from musicians from different cities of Russia and the CIS, among which truly talented compositions are found. 'I am very proud of this compilation, and I want to thank all the musicians featured on the album,' comments Ivan Roudyk. 'I have chosen the best of the best, and contrary to the doubts of many, it turned out to be a very good disc. Now everyone can appreciate high-quality house music recorded not abroad, but in Russia and Ukraine.' The stylistic compilation leans towards the currently most popular electro-house on dance floors. The compilation is presented as a DJ mix, meticulously constructed in terms of dynamics: with an intriguing beginning, an energetic main part, and an interesting finale. Until the release date, these tracks were not available on the internet, so the material can confidently be called fresh and unique. At the same time, most compositions have good commercial potential. It is possible that in the near future, some of them, particularly 'Another Planet' by DJs Teacher & Galin feat. Melery Sad, will be heard on the radio. 'Our creativity is intended for active, positive, and intellectually developed people,' comments one of the duo Teacher & Galin's members, DJ Teacher. 'Today, club music in Russia is experiencing a new upsurge, not only among young people. Despite the large influx of house music from abroad, domestic artists are quite competitive, as evidenced by their releases in Europe. Moreover, the Russian audience will always support its own.' By the end of 2007, Ivan Roudyk plans to release 2 more albums in this series. This year, the compilation will be presented at several European music exhibitions, with the first being the 'Amsterdam Dance Event.' It is possible that the next releases will be double albums - there is so much interesting material coming to Electrica Records. 'The first album is the starting point, and we are waiting for new tracks from our musicians,' says Ivan Roudyk. 'Russian dance music has its own attractiveness, it has its own zest, which is equally well felt both here and abroad.' 'The domestic electronic sound has its own unique melodic feel,' adds Denis Proskuryakov, a member of the project The Housemakers featured on the compilation. 'In general, any national culture leaves its mark on the performer, especially such a multifaceted one as ours.' The title of the composition by Moscow DJ Proff 'Heads or Tails' perfectly expresses the hopes of Russian electronic musicians regarding the development of our music market. 'The situation is changing for the better,' says Vladimir Yershov (DJ Proff). 'New record labels are being created, new names are appearing, and the release of the compilation 'From Russia With Sound' is a great initiative and a big step forward.'
