Ivan Smagghe in Mio: Are you ready to dance?

Parisian Yvan Smagge, together with producer Arnaud Rebotini, created the duo Black Strobe, which is firmly entrenched in the modern electronic scene and does not require letters of recommendation. Black Strobe plays harmonious, gloomy electro, transparent music of mature, self-sufficient loneliness. Music of the night, filled with meaning, gravitating towards the fundamental. Black Strobe became famous for their own tracks, as well as remixes of such masters as Depeche Mode and The Hacker, as well as David Carretta, Tiefschwarz, Alter Ego, David Guetta and even Ramstain. Black Strobe released two singles, "Innerstrings" and "Me and Madonna", followed by an album of the same name.\nSmagge independently released mixes with self-explanatory titles “How To Kill The Dj” and “Death Disco”, and the last, most famous “Suck my Deck” - a refined dryish clicking electroclash. On July 18th, another Smagge mix will be released - Fabric 23, a release from the famous London club Fabric.\nIf we compare the sets, then Smagge will put the same Tiga on his shoulder, suppressing the majority of the latter with the saturation and relief of sound that Tiga lacks. Smagge is distinguished from the average Moscow DJ, driven into a narrow format-club framework, limited by house with an admixture of techhouse and attempts at crunchy “clicks and cuts techno” by the refinement of his sound and unpredictability. At the same time, the music does not stray from the rut of adequate perception familiar to the metropolitan party-goer. In general, what is needed, but what, despite all the apparent diversity, is unfortunately lacking in the capital. \nThe only dance party with Ivan Smagghe will take place on July 1 at the MIO dj-cafe. \nAre you ready to dance?\nDj-Cafe Mio Presents\nIvan Smagghe (black strobe)\nlive dj-set\nJuly 1, 2005\n24.00
