Minimal-funk Inventor at Gazgolder

Swedish musician Jor-El, promoting his own invention called minimal-funk on the Gigolo Rec label, will perform at the Gazgolder club. He claims it all started with the raves of the 90s. After acquiring the first sampler, sequencer, and drum machine in 1994, Jor-El immersed himself in music production. Initially, it was drum and bass, but after some time, the musician started experimenting in what he now calls electro-funk. Around the same time, he and his friends started DJing, hosting their own parties where they played radically new music for people in Sweden. After a series of diverse creative projects, Jor-El finally became a composer for the national theater. In 2003, he opened his own club Club Robot, where he still plays old electro and techno with friends. Concurrently, Jor-El continues his studio work. In the summer of 2005, JOR-EL received a letter from DJ Hell, who wanted to release his "Space Tracks" on his International Deejay Gigolo Records label. A year later, his release "Fade Away" came out on this label, and this month, "Body Trance E.P.". Jor-El's live sets can sound both melodically Detroit and uncompromisingly tough.
