Jack de Marseille in Gorod
Клубные российские · 01.03.2006
On the eve of International Women's Day, one of the most famous French DJs, Jack de Marseille, will perform at Club Gorod. Jacques Garot, as he is known in his passport, can confidently be called one of the pioneers of French techno. Former professional tennis player Jacques Garot has been at the turntables for almost 15 years, earning a reputation not only as a skilled techno craftsman but also as a true vinyl collector. In addition to his collection of 40,000 records, Jacques has worked on adapting the soundtrack from the movie Trainspotting for a theater presentation; provided soundtracks for shows by Jean Paul Gaultier, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, and Chloe; opened the first vinyl store, Wax Records, in Marseille; and performed countless times worldwide. He also runs his own label, Wicked Music, with tracks featured on compilations from Universal Music. Jack is a living legend of the French scene, a resident DJ at the most important French techno club, Rex, highly praised in Laurent Garnier's book 'Electroshock.' It is precisely to Jack, a close friend, that the author expresses gratitude for this fantastic club Bible. Jack was named the best DJ in France in 1997 and 1998. Every year, he performs in Ibiza and is the only French DJ consistently invited by Carl Cox to his parties at Space, where Cox, a dark-skinned giant, calls Jack the main French event after Laurent Garnier. Jack's music captivates not only dark-skinned English fans but also Americans. House music king Erick Morillo was so impressed with Jack's music that he offered him to remix their latest track, 'Eric Morillo feat. Puff Daddy,' which will be released on the Subliminal label soon. Joining Jack, DJs Spirit, Spy.der, Volodya, and Kubikov will play on two dance floors of Gorod on March 7, 2006, starting at 23:00. Entrance fee is 400 rubles, with a flyer 300 rubles. Special pre-sale price starting from February 22 – 200 rubles.
