A party featuring the star of the global dance floors, James Holden, will take place at Club Vi:rus. Those who are not familiar with his musical biography can briefly review it on our website, and you can hear the magical sounds of this DJ and musician by coming to Club Vi:rus on December 1.
James Holden is currently working on a number of projects and has several pseudonyms in addition to James Holden – Ariane for the Hoperecordings label, Ogenki Clinic for Easyaccess, and others.
He has released music on Bedrock and has already gained fame as a DJ and producer by launching his own label, Easyaccess. He recently finished a compilation for the SilverPlanetRecording label titled Fear of Silver Planet.
James Holden is only twenty-two, but despite his young age, he has already released several stunning progressive-house tracks, done several remixes, and signed a major contract with one of Sony's subdivisions. Having a mathematics degree from Oxford and musical education in cello and piano, James unexpectedly decided to dedicate himself to dance music. What happened? Listen to what notable dance music gurus have to say:
"James Holden is absolutely amazing!" - Nick Warren
"Man of the moment!" - Pete Tong
"The best new talent to emerge in 1999" - Dave Seaman
"Give that man a first!" - Mixmag
As a musician, James Holden has achieved recognition from progressive stars like Nick Warren and John Digweed, who signed a contract with James for a joint project for Bedrock, as well as Sasha, with whom James recorded a track.
The name James Holden has appeared on a series of albums with mixes by Anthony Pappa, Dave Seaman, and Pete Tong. A great success for James was the inclusion of Horizons (one of his first tracks) on compilations released by Way Out West and Timo Maas.
The success of Horizons made James one of the most promising young stars. Immediately, requests for labels like Ministry of Sound, Positiva, React, NuLife, Hooj, Lost Language followed. In all subsequent singles, James developed his own characteristic sound and gained a reputation as an outstanding remixer and producer whose works linger in the memory.
After Horizons, James began a new project titled Ariane for the Hoperecordings label, on which he recorded the single Eternity, released in 2000. Tracks recorded with Hywel Dunn-Davies immediately caught the attention of John Digweed and were released on the Bedrock label that same year.
Currently, James is a resident of the Slide club in Oxford and the Passion club in Coalville, where he played at parties in Ibiza during the summer of 2001. James is also a frequent guest at the London Elements club.
As a musician, he is preparing to release his own album, finish working on another track with Sasha, and make remixes for Faithless, Tiesto, Jam and Spoon.
You can be sure that in the near future you will hear about or by James Holden multiple times!
