John B - guest of Steppin'Session

The guest of the February Steppin'Session at the Ikra club on February 22 will be the inimitable British eccentric John B. John, a man who expanded the boundaries of the drum'n'bass style with his creativity, turns each of his performances into a new show.
Both his own compositions and the tracks that he plays as a DJ contain a multifaceted intersection of drum and bass, trance, electro, techno, Latin, 80s music - from disco and new wave to punk rock or heavy metal.
Popularity came to John after his first release Fermat’s Theorem on New Identity (DJ SS label). The musician immediately released his double album Visions. In England and Europe it was published by the same New Identity, and in America on the fairly successful and large label Smile Communication. This is followed by a series of singles, his tracks are taken on various compilations and DJ mixes, among others - the composition Secrets, which ends up in the iconic Prototype Years mix for that time - the author’s work from one of the fathers of the drum and bass style, Grooverider.
In the wake of his growing popularity, John launched his own label, Beta Recordings, where he began (and continues to this day) to release mainly personal works.
When Mr. Goldie invited John to join his Metalheadz label, it did not cause any surprise, but John's hit created a sensation in Foggy Albion! This composition for all time was his track Up All Night, which instantly rose to first place in the UK Dance Chart. Most likely, this moment became a complete turning point in John’s career. The already successful musician finally established himself as a new dance floor star.
Of course, Up All Night is far from the musician’s only hit. Salsa, American Girls, Electrofreek, Blue Eyeshadow, Mirror Of Thought and others - blew up and continue to blow up dance floors in different countries.
Today, John has 4 of his own labels, 6 full-length albums, many original mixes and compilations, as well as a huge number of remixes and re-edits for musicians of various genres.February 22, Ikra
