Jon Hopkins in Moscow and St. Petersburg

On May 14, Jon Hopkins will perform at the MSPRKT club in Moscow, and the next day the musician will head to St. Petersburg, where he will be awaited at the SKIF-14 festival.
Jon Hopkins is a bright representative of the emerging generation of electronic music creators and one of the producers of the latest album by the English band Coldplay.
He is rightly considered one of the brightest talents in modern electronic music. Hopkins has been performing on stage since the age of 5, and his passion for music is so serious that he successfully gives lectures at the Royal College of Music. His debut album, Opalescent, received rave reviews when he was just 20 years old. The second album, Contact Note (2004), was another creative step forward.
His debut album Opalescent (on Just Music’s Absolute Zero) can be placed alongside the works of well-known masters like Jose Padilla and Global Communication.
In April 2008, the independent internet label Sounds Asleep released The Fourth State - a 32-minute single in the style of "pure ambient," recorded by Hopkins in 2004.
John Hopkins' third album, Insides, was released by Just Music in collaboration with Domino Records in May 2009.
