Kim & Buran: Album presentation at "16 Tons"

The analog synthesizers tamers, kind robots powered by solar batteries, the best friends of asteroids and astronauts – the group Kim & Buran has created a new heartwarming musical story without age restrictions. The group's first triumph was at the 'Stereoleto 2005' festival when they outshone all the foreign participants and instilled hope for a bright future of Russian lounge music in the hearts of skeptics. Today, Kim & Buran is perhaps the only electronic project in St. Petersburg whose music is not primarily refined sampledelica but a genuine emotional impulse. They do not focus on audacity or try to shock the audience. Kim & Buran simply speak to us in a familiar and native language of music from childhood. The author and ideological inspiration of the project is Slava Zavyalov (DJ Kim). A self-taught musician and one-man orchestra, DJ Kim has been interested in electronic music since childhood. Home experiments with Soviet record players and revived synthesizers, radio work, initial musical experiences led to collaborating with the Solnze Records label for releasing the group's first albums.
