The next guest of the series, the Portuguese Rui Da Silva, can well be considered the “king of today.” His star rose in 2001 when his Touch Me was declared "Best Single of the Year" by Muzik magazine. Then this track was liked by many famous DJs, and such influential people as Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, John Digweed and Paul Oakenfold became patrons of the young Portuguese. The latter, by the way, once repeated this melody five times during his set at the Pacha club (Ibiza), due to the numerous demands of the respectable public.
After such success, Rui Da Silva's business quickly went uphill. He has worked on remixes for Danny Tenaglia, Jennifer Lopez and Yoko Ono. John Lennon's widow asked Rui to make her own version of Walking On Thin Ice, the last track the Beatles leader recorded before his tragic death. In the fall of 2003, Da Silva released the track Feel The Love, repeating the success of Touch Me. In total, about 400 thousand copies of this single were sold worldwide. Since then, the name Rui Da Silva has been synonymous with the very concept of “progressive house”.
