Mark de Clive-Lowe Concert

A man with an aristocratic 'de' prefix in his surname, a New Zealand passport, half-Japanese heritage, and a London address - Mark de Clive-Lowe is now one of the main figures on the global electronic-jazz scene. He's admired by the main acid-jazz guru Giles Peterson and Detroit techno father Carl Craig, invited to work with Lauren Hill and Shirley Bassey, while the best club and festival venues worldwide consider it an honor to have him grace their stages. Ten years ago, a young keyboardist with a classical education found himself in the bubbling music cauldron of London, where fate introduced him to the diverse broken-beat scene of West London, ruled by 4Hero and Bugz In The Attic. Today, de Clive-Lowe has around two hundred releases worldwide in his luggage, two solo albums, numerous side projects, and experience working with top artists like Cesaria Evora, Joe Claussell, or Ken Ishii. Mark's live performances are always completely unpredictable, a unique blend of jazz and techno, ethnic and funk, an energetically amazing live show where the comparison to 'Herbie Hancock of the 21st century' does not seem like an exaggeration. At the club 'Ikra,' Mark will bring the vocalist Vanessa Freeman, a true black pearl of the London soul scene, who has worked with New York legend Roy Ayers, Brazilian classics Azymuth, Japanese nu-jazz heroes Kyoto Jazz Massive, and, of course, the best forces of London's funk, neo-soul, and broken-beat underground - 4Hero, The Reel People, Bugz In The Attic, Alex Attias. As special guests at the Moscow Freesoul Session, Moscow jazz musicians Anatoly Gerasimov (saxophone, flute) and Vladimir Goloukhov (percussion) will join Mark. Composer and arranger Anatoly Gerasimov is one of the most well-known Russian jazz musicians globally, having played with legends like Duke Ellington, Jaco Pastorius, John Scofield, Eddie Rosner, Anatoly Kroll, and many others. Vladimir Goloukhov, often called the best Russian performer on vibraphone and percussion, has performed with international stars like Ravi Shankar, Gary Burton, Rudolf Baumgardner, as well as prominent figures of Russian music culture like Alex Rostotsky, Mark Pekarsky, Garik Sukachev, bands like 'Splean' and 'Chaif.' On September 21 at 23:59, at club Ikra, Mark de Clive-Lowe's Freesoul Session feat. Vanessa Freeman (Roy Ayers / Reel People) (UK), special guests: Anatoly Gerasimov, Vladimir Goloukhov; DJs Studitsky, Rasskazov & friends, VJ Antishanti, tickets in advance - 500r.
