To call the Moscow duo SCSI-9 the most famous on the domestic techno scene would not be an exaggeration. The achievements of Anton Kubikov and Maxim Milyutenko can be envied by many European stars: they have a contract with the Cologne-based giant label Kompakt, dozens of vinyl records, and live performances in various corners of the planet. SCSI-9 tracks have been included in sets by Michael Mayer, Nick Warren, MANDY, and two of their compositions made it into the first release of the famous British CD mix series Fabric, released under the label of the namesake London club.

For the Russian scene, Anton Kubikov has also become one of the key figures, a true catalyst. For over ten years, he has been one of the most authoritative domestic techno DJs and engaged in promotional activities (many remember, for example, his legendary techno Thursdays at the club 'Flegmaticnaya Sobaka'). Many Russian musicians have received a ticket to life precisely thanks to Kubikov: many young talents went through the airwaves of the program 'Russian Hour,' which Anton hosted on 'Station' radio, and later in the mid-2000s Kubikov became one of the founders of the Pro-Tez label, where records by Lazzich, Mujuice, BVoice, Modul, Korablove, and SCSI-9 themselves saw the light of day. The attention from the European audience does not turn SCSI-9 into a purely export project: the musicians willingly cooperate with Russian labels and even release albums specifically for Russia, compiled from tracks previously released on vinyl in different countries and therefore difficult to access for their fans in their homeland.

However, SCSI-9 rarely indulges their fans with live performances. From time to time, the group appears at major festivals, but watching SCSI-9 in an intimate chamber venue is a true luxury. The annual performance of the project at the Shanti club becomes almost the only opportunity for this.
