End of the 'urban story'

For many years, the 'Gorod' club has been a stronghold of techno culture. It was referred to as the Russian 'techno Mecca' and Moscow's 'Tresor,' embodying the vivacious essence of the word 'rave'—hailing from the nineties—not as a mass-synthetic hysteria in sports palaces, but an incomparable sense of musical euphoria, uniting the dance floor into one vast, rhythmically pulsating organism.
Over the course of nine years, 'Gorod' opened, closed, and relocated. This legendary venue's stage has seen performances by virtually all significant global techno artists—from Detroit genre veterans to young Europeans shaping today's history. The illustrious list of 'Gorod's' esteemed guests includes Laurent Garnier, Hardfloor, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, and numerous others.
Foreign DJs and musicians were brilliantly supported by 'urban' residents and local artists such as Mike Spirit, Volodya Trapeznikov, Mario, Kubaikov, and many more.
Today, the era of 'Gorod' concludes with a change in ownership and club promotion team. On March 8th, in the premises of the friendly 'Gaudi' club, 40 DJs will close the nine-year 'urban story' with an eight-hour musical marathon across three dance floors.
A grand marathon in memory of the great history of the magnificent club.
