Christian Smith and the Tronic label

Swedish techno DJ Christian Smith is set to relaunch his Tronic label. The news aroused some interest in music circles, since during its existence Tronic has established itself as a good source of techno and house releases. The event coincided with the release of remixes of the track Move (Christian Smith & John Selway), originally released in 2002 on Carl Cox's Intec label. Among the authors of the remixes are Steve Angello, Dimitri Nakov & Gabe & Ritkam.
Smith spent his teenage years in Frankfurt, where his family had to move due to his father’s work as a pilot. So geography determined the musical taste of the future label owner. At the age of 14, he, by personal admission, turned into a real club maniac, following on the heels of his musical idols. In Germany it was Sven Vath, in New York, where Smith moved later, it was Joey Beltram and Jeff Mills. Devoting all his free time to music, performing personal DJ sets, Smith nevertheless began studying international business in Washington. Tronic was founded in 1994, but Smith soon suspended its activities for three years due to the need to continue his studies. Today, the DJ and producer lives between Sao Paulo and Barcelona, ​​periodically touring Asia, both Americas, and Europe.
