Lineup of German festival Time Warp announced

This year, the famous German festival Time Warp in Mannheim is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary. The festival organizers have made sure that throughout the week leading up to the main musical event at the Maimarkthalle exhibition center, guests and city residents have cultural enrichment opportunities. On March 28, for the third year in a row, the accompanying international music and media arts festival Jetztmusik will open. Its week-long program will include various projects connecting music with other art forms. The most famous of them is the Cinemix project, where Laurent Garnier, Ricardo Villalobos, Moritz von Oswald, Max Loderbauer, Chateau Flight, and other artists will perform a soundtrack to a silent movie in an old movie theater. On April 3, the Time Warp Lab seminar will take place. Admission is free. Listeners and participants will discuss serious topics such as methods of visualizing music, the use of specific music programs, and self-promotion options on the Internet for aspiring musicians. Finally, starting from the evening of Saturday, April 4, until Sunday noon, April 5, Mannheim will experience the main musical impact. The lineup for Time Warp 2009 is more than impressive. It seems that all the key figures of the contemporary techno scene will gather for the festival's anniversary: Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Dave Clarke, Turntablerocker, Monika Kruse, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Chris Liebing, The Disco Boys, Josh Wink, Karotte, Magda, Barem.
