Larry Levan and His Mixes

One of the most iconic DJs of the last century, whose work has impressed many of today's dance floor stars, such as Tenaglia and Frankie Knuckles - Larry Levan, will finally be released on compact disc. More specifically, it will not be his wonderful mixes (according to eyewitnesses) that will be released, but his versions that he created for various musical projects. These will be the hits he 'unlocked' for visitors of the legendary New York Paradise Garage from the mid-70s to the mid-80s. These will be tracks by artists such as Diva, Loleatta Holloway, First Choice, Inner Life, Instant Funk, and Aurra. The compact will be released as a double digi-pack, with a twelve-page booklet dedicated to his work, as Levan himself passed away in 1992. "Larry Levan's greatest salsoul mixes" will be the first release of the new Salsoul label. Look for it in stores starting in November.
