Leipzig – New Single and Video by Matthew Herbert

British DJ and musician Matthew Herbert has unveiled the video for his new single Leipzig, which will be released on March 29, followed by the release of the new album One One on April 12. The main character of the clip is Matthew himself, appearing in eccentric outfits and narrating what happens to him in the club named after the city.

The musician conceived One One as the first part of the One Trilogy series. There are plans for the second album One Club and the third - One Pig. Work on the latter has already involved Herbert in a dispute with the animal rights organization PETA. PETA accused the artist of cruelty to these animals. The fact is that part of the material for the album One Pig consists of animal screams that Matthew recorded at a slaughterhouse.

Returning to One One… In this album, Herbert debuted as a vocalist and independently composed and recorded all the material in his personal studio. He even had to learn some musical instruments for this.

"It turned out that being able to sing well is quite difficult. There was no one around to correct me if I was doing badly. I figured everything out myself. I didn't want to resort to trendy studio tricks... Sometimes overcoming nervousness was aided by a black tuxedo and half a bottle of red... This is really a very personal and honest work," - Matthew Herbert about his new album.
