Summer performance of SCSI-9 at Shanti

Every summer, the club 'Shanti' hosts a live concert by the duo SCSI-9 – truly one of the most successful projects in the history of Russian techno: a contract with the mighty German label Kompakt, dozens of vinyl records, several albums, performances across Russia and worldwide. One of SCSI-9's most distinctive features is their incredibly diverse musical palette. Equally skilled in dynamic tech-house, pensive 'deep' sounds, and melancholic ambient landscapes, Anton also recites his own poetry to their music.
The annual live performances by SCSI-9 at 'Shanti' have become a pleasant tradition. Each of these concerts is a reunion with old fans and an introduction to new ones, as well as a unique recap of the achievements of the past year. During this time, SCSI-9's discography has grown with two full-length releases. The album 'Easy As Down' is the latest studio work, released by the techno giant Kompakt based in Cologne. Another disk, titled 'History Pt. 2,' is a compilation of the project's best tracks, previously only released on vinyl, specially curated for the Russian audience. The Hamburg label Subotnik released a vinyl 'Haystack EP.' But that's not all – SCSI-9 also released another vinyl with a Russian label. The single 'Tierra Del Fuego,' featuring remixes by Pascal FEOS and Gui Boratto, was put out by the young Moscow-based label Highway Records, led by DJ and producer Mike Spirit.
In addition to producing their own tracks, Anton Kubikov continues to spin records in clubs. While in the past he was more commonly seen around our vast country than in the capital, Anton now performs more frequently in Moscow, becoming a resident at several clubs and sometimes spending the whole night behind the decks. Anton and Maxim also continue their production activities. Their label Pro-Tez Records, which releases Russian music and promotes it to the American and European markets, already boasts 10 vinyl releases and a new CD compilation titled 'Sputnik 1'.
