The Lexicon Avenue project consists of Scott Bradford, Mark Armstrong, and Chris Scott. 'Here I Am' was their first release on Forensic Records (1998), marking the beginning of the group's popularity. A year after its release, 'Here I Am' caught the attention of Deep Dish and was released on Yoshitoshi with two new versions. One of the remixes made it onto a Global Underground mix by Digweed. Their second single, 'Midnight on West 27th Street', was released at the end of 2000 and became even more well-known worldwide. This track solidified the group's reputation as producers bringing a fresh sound to the conservative house genre. 'Midnight on West 27th Street' was also featured on Global Underground, this time in Danny Howells' Nebreed mix. Through Lexicon Avenue, Forensic established itself as one of the top underground labels in the UK producing deep music. Like many successful projects, Lexicon Avenue also ventured into remixing, working with artists such as Bob Jones, L'Isha, Eagles Pray, Dirty Vegas, East West Connection, Dave Gahan, John Creamer & Stephane K, Ben Onono, and Medway. Perhaps the most successful remix they did was for Depeche Mode, sparking a collaboration with the group's lead vocalist Dave Gahan on the official remix of 'Dirty Sticky Floors' released by Lexicon Avenue in 2003. Notably, Chris Scott is the sound engineer behind Lexicon Avenue's sound, while Scott Bradford and Mark Armstrong serve as DJs, participating in studio mixing and playing at clubs. Their notable DJ gigs include parties at Shindig (Newcastle), Elements, and The Gallery (London). Bradford has performed solo in Helsinki, Lisbon, Los Angeles, Oslo, San Francisco, and Berlin. One of Lexicon Avenue's aliases is Little Green Men. In 2001, they released the single 'Need' under this alias, quickly remixed by Satoshi Tomiie. Overall, 2001 was a successful year in Lexicon Avenue's career. In 2002, the group immersed themselves in studio work while continuing to DJ. Their mix was part of the 'nite:life' compilation series. At present, Lexicon Avenue draw inspiration from artists such as Danny Tenaglia, Mood 2 Swing, Deep Dish, Chus and Ceballos, Peace Division, and H-Foundation. Scott, Mark, and Chris try to spend their free time with their children, occasionally going to the movies or having fun at pubs.
