Mike Giannini was born on the West Coast and grew up in Los Angeles. In the early 90s, he left Los Angeles because of the smog. He worked in a 'mom and pop' music store on the Central Coast of California, ordering records. 'There were days when I returned home without earning any money.' In 1998, he moved to San Francisco where he immediately became involved in the club scene, receiving invitations to play at prestigious clubs such as 111 Minna, Cloud 9, DNA Lounge, Mezzanine, and Sno-Drift. In 2001, Mike and his longtime friend and DJ Sunil Kapadia decided to join forces and founded Percussion SF - a community of DJs, percussionists, and VJs dedicated to dance music. In 2003, Mike became a resident at Thrump Radio in San Francisco, making mixes for radio shows broadcast not only in SF but also in LA. Currently, Mike is working on several projects including the release of his third CD and starting his own recording studio. In each of his sets, Mike incorporates not only a solid dose of emotions but also consistent programming with smooth mixes. His sound is funky, with short and sharp percussion, oriented towards modern technologies; always energetic and pumping. Sunil Kapadia DJing for 13 years, Sunil has honed his skills, drawing from hip-hop, progressive house, and all styles of music in between. Creating such a unique background, he is now more focused on smooth, pumping House, igniting dancefloors with sets filled with his energy and passion. 'Sharing music that I love with people who love it too. That's what it's all about for me.' In 2001, together with his longtime friend Mike Giannini, Sunil founded the label Percussion SF to promote their interests in electronic dance music. Together they played at the newest and trendiest clubs in San Francisco such as Ruby Skye, DNA Lounge, Fluid, Cloud 9, Mezzanine, and Bambuddha. Sunil also performed solo at top clubs in New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Kansas. As a resident of Thrump Radio, Sunil hosts a weekly radio show on KBIG 104.3 in LA. When he's not playing in clubs or flying on planes, Sunil works on releasing his own CDs. His second album has already been released on Percussion SF, and he is currently working on the third. What's next? 'I would like to sit in the studio and produce my own tracks. I can convey my feelings through music.'
