The Best World Festivals in September

One can moan and complain that summer is over, that life is passing by, and that everything is generally bad. Or one can gather oneself, clench their will into a fist, and head somewhere to rest the soul and body. In the second half of September, this can be done in five places – and everywhere it will be worthy. NexTech
The new festival Nextech is able to surprise even the most seasoned party-goers – it is held in an abandoned railway station from the 19th century in Florence, Italy. Among the participants are Mouse on Mars, The Drama Society, The Liars, Ellen Allien & Apparat, Pascal F.E.O.S., and a bunch of local musicians and DJs. If you think three days of the festival is too much to enjoy the specified artists, remember that Florence is one of the most beautiful places, if not on Earth, then definitely in Europe.
San Francisco Lovefest
If fate has thrown you into the USA, and not just any USA, but the bastion of freedom San Francisco – don’t get lost and participate in LoveFest. The American version of the Love Parade has changed its name this year, but the essence remains the same – the same processions following platforms where world stars such as Rennie Pilgrem, Lee Burridge, Lee Coombs, and Hyper will perform. The processions smoothly flow into clubs, among which the official afterparty features Paul Oakenfold, Junkie XL, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Rap, Above & Beyond, and others. But that is if you are chasing “names”; if not – your leisure will be brightened by numerous local vinyl workers.
Todaysart Festival
This festival is a counterpoint to large raves, which are usually associated with Holland. There is no chance that Tiesto will breach the turntables here, and that is pleasing. The cultural program of the festival includes demonstrations of modern dance achievements, theatrical performances, musical experiments, multimedia, and other joys. Performances are planned by legends of the Detroit sound Underground Resistance, as well as Legowelt, Thomas Brinkmann, Akufen, and Daniel Meteo.
Popkomm Festival
If you previously had no reason to go to Berlin – here’s a fantastic one. The annual Popkomm festival is a three-day musical extravaganza, including everything from jazz to reggae. Concerts take place all around the city in different, sometimes completely crazy places. The festival program includes exhibitions of national economy and seminars, but if you want to dance, the city’s clubs present parties from the labels M_nus, BPitch Control, Get Physical, Sonar Kollektiv, Shitkatapult.
N.a.m.e Festival
Three weekends, starting from September 21, the residents and guests of northeastern France will be entertained by the participants of the N.a.m.e music and arts festival. Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, one can hear all the cream of modern "intellectual" dance music, with all more or less significant labels showcasing their fighters on the musical battlefield. Troy Pierce and Dominik Eulberg, artists from the BPitch Control coalition: Ellen Allien & Apparat and Sascha Funke, Crosstown Rebel will present Damian Lazarus, Andre Kraml, and 3 Channels. The conglomerate Kompakt will be represented by Superpitcher and Jonas Bering. Plus, join them will be Thomas Schumacher, Marc Romboy, and DK7 with Luciano, as well as Ricardo Villalobos, Herbert, and Konrad Black. Not enough?
