The performance of the legendary Dutch DJ and musician Tiesto in Moscow will take place as part of the world tour presentation of the maestro's second studio album "Just Be".
Tiesto's first success came when he was only 17. Tijs Verwest was born on January 17, 1969, in the Dutch city of Breda. He was already composing music at the age of 12, and by 17 he was playing long sets at the club "The Spock". This is where representatives from the Rotterdam label "Basic Beat" noticed him. For them, Tiesto mixed his first DJ compilation "Forbidden Paradise", which had significant success in the Netherlands. Magik became Tiesto's calling card.
In 1993, Tiesto, along with his friend and colleague Henri Blinck, founded his own label "Black Hole" and began releasing compilations of quality house music on it. The "In Search Of Sunrise" series and, especially, "Magik" made Tiesto's name famous far beyond his native Netherlands. Today, under this brand, 7 compilations have already been released.
The success of "Silence" propelled Tiesto into the top DJ league.
In 2000, the compilation "Summerbreeze" was released, featuring Tiesto's remix of the track "Silence" by the group "Delerium". Its success was phenomenal. "Silence" held the top position in the UK charts for four weeks and reached third place on the American Billboard charts.
Today, Tiesto is at the peak of his fame. For two consecutive years, the influential British magazine DJ Mag named him the "DJ No. 1" in the world. He is a resident of the famous Cream and, together with Paul van Dyk, performs at the label's signature parties in Ibiza. His DJ set warms up the audience before concerts by David Bowie and Moby. In the Netherlands, 25 (!) thousand tickets were sold for his joint performance with a symphony orchestra. His second studio album "Just Be" is already being called "the main sensation of 2004" by critics.
Tiesto is a worldwide celebrity whose playing has captivated P Diddy, Naomi Campbell, and Cameron Diaz. His tour schedule is booked a year in advance. His title as the best DJ in the world has not yet been challenged by anyone...
