On April 6, an information session of the Red Bull Music Academy will take place in Moscow - a meeting that lifts the veil of mystery of the Music Academy. Red Bull Music Academy is a project that annually brings together musicians, producers and DJs from all over the world to exchange creative experiences, discuss musical ideas and get acquainted with new cultural trends.
Every year the Academy takes place in different cities of our world. Red Bull Music Academy has already visited Berlin, Dublin, New York, London, Sao Paulo, Cape Town, Rome, Seattle, Melbourne and is heading to Toronto, Canada this year!
The two-week training takes place in an informal setting and covers all major aspects of musical culture. Lecturers at the Music Academy are famous musicians, DJs, representatives of major labels, journalists, etc.
If you are seriously interested in music, have an out-of-the-box thinking and an interest in a wide variety of musical genres, then you can try to become a member of the Red Bull Music Academy and go to Toronto for one of two sessions that will take place in September and October 2007.
If you want to know first-hand what is happening at Red Bull Music Academy, come to Mio DJ Cafe (Kaluzhskaya Sq., 1) on April 6 for an information session and immerse yourself in the atmosphere that reigns at the Academy! The special guest of the information session will be one of the project lecturers, Marco Passarani. Marco will give a fascinating master class.
If there was an “Honoured Artist” award in the electronic world, then Marco Passarani would undoubtedly become its laureate in his homeland, in sunny Rome. There, in the late 80s and early 90s, Marco played a key role in the development of the techno scene, managing the first distribution company - the FinalFrontier and Nature Records labels, which released the entire world of Italian techno, electro and disco in a few years. With an eye on the work of Adonis or Dopplereffekt, Marco has released many good records, which without a doubt can be placed next to the classics. For Passarani's unique ability to interpret dance music classics in his own way, he is loved and appreciated by both picky old-school fans and the younger generation. This circumstance gave him the opportunity to collaborate with the leaders of one of the most respected Detroit labels, Submerge. As a DJ, Marco loves to mix classic techno with Italo-disco and fat American house, although sometimes he also takes on frivolous neo-disco. Marco has traveled all over the world with DJ sets from America to Australia. Over his almost seventeen-year career, Marco was invited to all more or less significant music festivals, including the obligatory Sonar. As one of the most experienced and respected musicians, Passarani was invited to teach at the Red Bull Music Academy, as well as host the Dimenzione Jack show on Red Bull Music Academy Radio.
For a wider audience who is not indifferent to the world of music, a Red Bull Music Academy party will be held, where Marco Passarani, DJ Andriesh and DJ Nina Kraviz will perform a jam session, play their sets together, complementing each other or alternately changing tracks, exactly as happens at the Academy itself, when participants and lecturers form a single team.Red Bull Music Academy
